A little story behind the scenes
Delagua Coffee Paradise sources its coffee from the Sierra Nevada Mountains in Colombia, the highest coastal mountain range in the world, with peaks at 5,700 meters. The region features approximately 300 hectares of coffee cultivation at altitudes of 1,300 to 1,800 meters, utilizing melted snow water for irrigation. The farm employs a high-altitude terraced planting method and organic practices, with a single harvest season from November to January, while promoting biodiversity and water conservation.
Owned by Dona Gleidis Reatiga and managed by her husband, Edelso Martinez, the 1.5-hectare Gozen estate hosts around 8,000 Castillo coffee trees. They are committed to sustainable practices, including avoiding fungicides, and Dona Gleidis is learning harvest management techniques from her husband.
